Getting to Chatsworth House

International guests

For international guests arriving at Heathrow, East Midlands, or Manchester airports, here are your travel options:

Heathrow Airport

  • By car: Approximately 155 miles (250 km) drive. Take the M25 motorway to Junction 30, then join the M1 motorway at Junction 6A. Continue on the M1 to junction 29, then follow the A617 and A619 to Chatsworth House.
  • By train:

East Midlands Airport

  • By car: Approximately 40 miles (64 km) drive. Follow the M1 motorway to junction 29, then take the A617 and A619 to Chatsworth House.
  • By train:

Manchester Airport

  • By car: Approximately 55 miles (89 km) drive. Take the M56 motorway to Junction 9, then join the M6 motorway. Exit the M6 at junction 15 and take the A50 and A619 to Chatsworth House.
  • By train:

By car

  • From London: Approximately 155 miles (250 km). Drive via M25, M1, and A617/A619.
  • From Birmingham: Approximately 80 miles (130 km). Drive via M42 and M1.
  • From Manchester: Approximately 55 miles (89 km). Drive via M56, M6, and A50/A619.
  • From Leeds: Approximately 65 miles (105 km). Drive via M62 and A617/A619.

By train

  • From London: Take a train from London St Pancras to Chesterfield. Journey time: around 2 hours.
  • From Birmingham: Take a train from Birmingham New Street to Chesterfield. Journey time: around 1.5 hours.
  • From Manchester: Take a train from Manchester Piccadilly to Chesterfield. Journey time: around 1 hour.
  • From Leeds: Take a train from Leeds to Chesterfield. Journey time: around 1.5 hours.

Room locations and directions

The conference will be held in two rooms at Chatsworth House:

  • Hartington Room: Morning sessions
  • Burlington Room: Lunch

These rooms are directly opposite each other. Upon arrival, make your way to the Stables area, located at the top of Lodge Hill near the clock tower. The entrance to the Hartington Room is directly opposite the entrance to the Carriage House. Signs will be posted to guide you, and staff will be available to assist with directions.

Parking information

Free parking is available for all attendees. No parking permit is required. Simply drive to the venue and park in the designated areas. At the entrance, inform the Chatsworth team that you are attending the conference, and they will direct you to the appropriate parking area.
