Rik Geerdink is a senior vibration expert and the owner of In2ViBa. 

He began his career in 2008 as a vibration expert at the Competence Centre Equipment of Engie Energy Netherlands (formerly Electrabel). 

His work focused on analysing the vibration behaviour of power trains at various power plants across the Netherlands. 

Rik also conducted Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) for gas and steam turbines, as well as generator rotors during major overhauls. 

In 2022, driven by his passion for vibration analysis in turbo machinery, he established his own company, dedicated to helping asset owners enhance the availability and reliability of their machines.

Condition-based maintenance: Chapter 2 with the Beran PlantProtech™ PCMS 7600.

Abstract

In this presentation, Rik Geerdink will share a case study on the reactivation of a gas turbine unit following two years of conservation. He will discuss the transition from minimal predictive maintenance to a comprehensive, plant-wide predictive maintenance strategy utilising the Beran PlantProtech™ PCMS 7600. The presentation will cover the decision-making process behind adopting predictive maintenance and outline the roadmap for implementation.
