The role
The Company is seeking to recruit a Continuous Improvement Project Engineer based at our Torrington facility, situated in the spectacular and diverse region of North Devon. The area benefits from unique natural features such as the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty designated coastline and Exmoor National Park.

Purpose
As a Continuous Improvement Project Engineer working at CMTG you will have the opportunity to support our range of existing products and shape the future of the products within either the Helitune or Beran portfolios. You will partake in the product and process improvement activities associated with the delivery of condition-monitoring solutions and business-critical processes.
Main responsibilities
- To ensure efficient transition of new products from an NPI development environment to productionised solutions across the CMTG group. To ensure that across all functions within the group, existing products and processes are able to deliver condition monitoring solutions in an efficient, robust, and effective manner.
- Develop a Continuous Improvement culture within CMTG to ensure opportunities for continuous improvement are identified, prioritised, and executed.
- Work with the Continuous Improvement Project Manager to ensure that business infrastructure, capability and service improvements are identified, implemented and aligned with the demands of CMTG development Roadmaps and customer expectations.
- Ensure that products are manufactured in accordance with processes which are defined to maximise business margin and achieve process excellence, reflect best practice, and efficiency, and ensure compliance.
- Monitor production and in-service failures and ensure product improvements are identified and implemented.
- Actively participate in the integration and support of business-critical process tools
Experience
- Able to build and maintain effective relationships, with an ability to influence at all levels.
- A demonstrable record of product delivery within a multi-discipline engineering environment, preferably within an Aerospace or other high-integrity environment.
- Experience within the Electronics manufacturing industry, process development and continuous improvement.
- Hands-on, electronics development experience, across the whole development lifecycle, is beneficial.
Qualifications
- Qualified to Degree level within a relevant discipline or have a suitable equivalent level of experience.
- Six Sigma / Lean training is desirable
