Northern Devon aerospace engineering company, Helitune opened its doors on 30 January to a host of local community groups from schools to sport clubs as well as its key suppliers, highlighting the specialist technology that is uniquely built at the company’s headquarters in Torrington.
Helitune will be exhibiting at this year’s Helitech exhibition at ExCeL, London.
Helitune’s on-board rotor blade tracker, RT-TipTrak, has been selected as the standard blade tracker for installation on Leonardo-Finmeccanica’s ’ AgustaWestland AW189 and AW169 aircraft.

Helitune has been working alongside the Royal Air Force Battle of Britain Memorial Flight (BBMF) at RAF Coningsby using the Rotortuner equipment to perform vibration monitoring and propeller balancing on the Hurricane Mk 2C aircraft.
Helitune entered into a Design and Manufacturing Agreement with Leonardo Helicopters for a new and improved version of the RT-TipTrak that had previously been selected as the standard, permanent fit, onboard rotor blade tracker on the AW189 and AW169 aircraft.
