Aerospace Qualified Magnetic Pick-up

The Helitune High Output Magnetic Pick-Up is a precision-engineered device designed to measure non-contact tachometer readings from rotating aircraft components. Crafted from aerospace-grade stainless steel and compliant with RTCA/DO-160G standards, this sensor is built to perform reliably in the most challenging environments.

Description

The High Output Magnetic Pick-Up attaches securely to a stationary part of the aircraft's airframe. It operates by detecting the passing of single or double ferrous paddles, known as Interrupters, on the rotating assembly. Each paddle passage generates a signal that acts as a timing reference for balance data, vibration signatures, and tracking information. To ensure optimal performance, the MPU tip should be positioned approximately 1.25mm from the Interrupter.

For applications where installation is complex or not originally designed for this sensor, an Optical Pick-Up may be a more practical choice.
