Dual Output Magnetic Pick-Up

The Helitune Dual Output Magnetic Pick-Up is expertly designed to capture non-contact tachometer measurements from rotating aircraft components. This precision-engineered unit is built from aerospace-certified stainless steel and meets the rigorous RTCA/DO-160G standards, ensuring reliable performance in the most challenging environments.

Description

The Dual Output Magnetic Pick-Up unit attaches to a static part of the airframe and is triggered by the passing of single or double ferrous paddles, known as Interrupters, on the rotating assembly. Each paddle pass generates a signal, which serves as a timing reference for balance data, vibration signatures, and tracking information. For optimal performance, the MPU tip should maintain a gap of approximately 1.25mm from the Interrupter. When installation challenges arise in applications not designed for this sensor type, an Optical Pick-Up may be a more suitable solution.

Helitune's MPUs are available in various lengths and sensor tips to accommodate specific application needs.
