Rotortuner RT-EVA

The Rotortuner RT-EVA is an advanced six-channel vibration measurement system designed specifically for aerospace gas turbine engines. This versatile tool is ideal for both laboratory and on-aircraft use, delivering accurate and reliable data for engine vibration monitoring and analysis.

Description

The RT-EVA enables comprehensive engine vibration assessment by utilizing OEM-mandated transducers, particularly for older aircraft engines such as the Lycoming T64, T53, and Gnome engines. Its digital display offers real-time, simultaneous readouts for all vibration channels, providing superior clarity compared to older needle meter systems.

Hardware 

The RT-EVA is a lightweight and durable unit, featuring a high-intensity electro-luminescent screen. This screen ensures clear visibility even in high-vibration environments and bright sunlight, making it highly effective for diverse operational conditions.

Measurement techniques and functionality 

The RT-EVA processes data from all six channels concurrently using differential-type self-exciting transducers. It integrates the input signal to produce displacement output readings, displayed as both bar charts and text for enhanced data interpretation. Key features include a ‘Peak Level’ marker for identifying maximum vibration levels and a ‘Hold’ function for capturing transient data accurately.

Configuration and filtering 

Offering total flexibility, the RT-EVA allows users to adjust individual channel signal conditioning filters according to specific engine manufacturer procedures. It can display results in either velocity units (ips average) or displacement units (mils pk-pk average).
