Rotortuner RT-TipTrak
The RT-TipTrak is an advanced aircraft-installed device designed for precise measurement of helicopter rotor blade height and lead-lag. It seamlessly integrates with on-board Health and Usage Monitoring Systems (HUMS) or Rotortuner Track and Balance (RTB) Systems.
Description
The RT-TipTrak system utilises cutting-edge 'Line Scan' camera technology, enabling highly accurate track measurements at the blade tip, the optimal measurement point in the helicopter industry.
Encased in a lightweight, durable alloy with no moving parts, the RT-TipTrak meets stringent EMC and Environmental requirements (DO-160E), ensuring high reliability. Its design allows for both internal and external mounting, offering exceptional installation flexibility. Internal heating prevents misting and ice accretion, ensuring consistent performance in various conditions.
Fully compatible with RITA data transfer protocols, the RT-TipTrak supports seamless integration with existing systems. Available in a ‘day-only’ configuration or with an optional removable ‘night mode’ illuminator, it provides round-the-clock blade tracking capability.
The RT-TipTrak features internal 1/rev conditioning, interfacing directly with unconditioned 1/rev measurement sensors without additional signal conditioning units. Its advanced blade recognition technology, with 14-bit resolution, eliminates the need for supplementary blade contrast enhancements, such as rotor blade painting.
